Ho'ola'a is a Hawaiian Baby Blessings and Dedication.
Prayers are made to Akua (God) in the Highest.
The Guardians from remote antiquity and of the Universe.
The Child is blessed for his or her life time on earth.
As well we connect to the Childs Spirit, the Mana or Spiritual power within and part of the child.
Holy water blessed from the Ocean is touched to child with a ti leaf and pule (prayer).
There is also a blessing Chant.
This Blessing is offered to people of all Faiths, and the children of the land.
Poi fed to baby or child and touched to there lips from Parents or God Parents.
The Poi or pounded taro root has great symbols connected with it.
This meaning of this is shared inside of this blessing.
This sacred blessing is perpetuated by Kahu Alalani Hill.
